ECLA

We help the child to develop autonomy, responsibility and care for others, in the light of the Gospel, inside the classroom as well as outside.

Our small groups enable us to cater for each child’s needs in every discipline.

We help the child to progress towards the requirements set by the French National Education system, at their own speed.

We help the child to progress from the practical to the abstract through teaching and education which is based on direct experience.

Our goal is to help the child gain intellectual and social maturity, as well as spiritual growth.

Our focus

Our focus…. their future!
Loving-kindness

Love is the driving force in developing a trusting spirit towards each other and to create fertile ground for the development, openness and commitment of each child.

Responsibility

The child learns to develop initiative and to evaluate the consequences of his/her choices in order to validate his/her decisions.

Family spirit

In partnership with the parents, we bring a family framework that is formative. The teachers lead the children in the many learning processes of life.

Autonomy

The child is taught to organise his/her time and space within a defined framework. He/she exercises and develops an analytical mind in duties both inside and outside the school.

Testimonies

After seven years at ECLA, our daughter Thalie is moving up to 6th grade. It is with great emotion that we leave this school. She had the opportunity to flourish and learn in a nurturing environment – a school that fosters independence, respect for others, and a sense of responsibility. These are values we consider essential and important for our daughter’s future. We would like to thank the teaching staff, who always supported Thalie’s learning journey with such kindness and care.

We really appreciated the ECLA school for its gentle teaching, listening and extraordinary kindness, a big THANK YOU! ☺️ Our daughter Chloé spent 7 years at this school and was very happy to experience unforgettable moments! The school was able to support him through his opportunities and difficulties. The particular Montessori learning method is well suited for every child! We highly recommend the ECLA school! A big thank you to the teaching team for their involvement and fruitful work! Well done!
Chloé’s parents

Today was my big boy’s last day at this wonderful school. Next year, Gaspard is moving to the school complex where his sister is currently enrolled. We made this choice to simplify our logistics, and we know the new school will be excellent. Still, it’s bittersweet to leave such a lovely environment – one where both our children have thrived, one after the other, over the past five years. It’s a special setting with small class sizes (max 15 children), a highly individualized, Montessori-inspired teaching approach that fosters autonomy and provides structure within a truly caring atmosphere, plus wonderful organized outings, gardening workshops, philosophy sessions, and more. This year, Gaspard had a real thirst to learn to read; as he wraps up his middle-preschool year, he is successfully decoding many words and sentences, thanks to a teacher who nurtured that desire. I hadn’t wanted to talk about this or share anything beforehand, out of respect for my children’s privacy. But if you happen to be in the area and are looking for a great school…

Caring teachers and supervisors who adapt to our children. More than just a school for my children, it is a family. Thank you for everything.
Eugénie

Wonderful school. The teachers and the headmaster listen and are just the best. I thoroughly recommend it.

After watching this beautiful video I can confirm that in ECLA no one is rejected for being different, quite the contrary…This is such a rare thing these days…This is what makes ECLA unique, all these exceptional people without whom this school wouldn’t exist…
